The NCOC said that all reports regarding the closure of educational institutions were false and that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing had initiated action against the fake account created in the name of meetings.

The fabricated news spread on Tuesday night through a fake account imitating the National Command and Operation Center, and caused unrest across the country following which the FIA has initiated strict action. It may be recalled that the NCOC decided to impose a ban on areas with a positive rate of more than 10% in Coronavirus.
A joint meeting of the NCOC was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister Asad Umar in view of the rapid spread of Covid-19 cases across the country. According to sources, provincial education and health ministers attended a special meeting of the NCOC in this regard. Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Health Dr. Faisal Sultan also attended the meeting via video link.

The meeting was attended by Ministers of Health and Education and other concerned officers from all the provinces through a video link conference. The meeting discussed the growing situation in Corona and sanctions in the event of an increase.
