ISLAMABAD: According to the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), all reports regarding the closure of educational institutions are false, and action has been taken against the perpetrators for spreading incorrect information.
According to reports, the NCOC has said that all reports regarding the closure of educational institutions are false. The National Command and Operations Center has dismissed reports from fake Twitter accounts as baseless.
The NCOC said that all reports regarding the closure of educational institutions were false and that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing had initiated action against the fake account created in the name of meetings.

The fabricated news spread on Tuesday night through a fake account imitating the National Command and Operation Center, and caused unrest across the country following which the FIA has initiated strict action. It may be recalled that the NCOC decided to impose a ban on areas with a positive rate of more than 10% in Coronavirus.
A joint meeting of the NCOC was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister Asad Umar in view of the rapid spread of Covid-19 cases across the country. According to sources, provincial education and health ministers attended a special meeting of the NCOC in this regard. Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Health Dr. Faisal Sultan also attended the meeting via video link.
The meeting was attended by Ministers of Health and Education and other concerned officers from all the provinces through a video link conference. The meeting discussed the growing situation in Corona and sanctions in the event of an increase.
According to sources, the meeting discussed the situation of an increase in Corona cases in educational institutions. However, no decision has yet been taken at the meeting regarding the closure of educational institutions.
The meeting decided in consultation that the ban would be imposed in areas with more than a 10% corona positive rate.
It has been decided to implement new SOPs for areas with high cases. These SOPs will be finalized in consultation with the provinces. According to sources, another meeting of the NCOC is expected tomorrow.
