According to reports, Prime Minister Imran Khan telephoned Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. He discussed the latest situation in Palestine and praised their role in the ceasefire.
Prime Minister Imran Khan praised the role of the Egyptian leadership in resolving the conflict. He strongly condemned Israel’s atrocities against Palestinian women, children and unarmed civilians. He said that the incidents that took place at Al-Aqsa Mosque during the holy month were unfortunate.
During the talks, Imran Khan stressed on the solidarity of the Muslim Ummah and protection of the rights of the Palestinian people through the OIC.
On this occasion, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, addressing the Prime Minister Imran Khan, said that Khan Sahib has the pain of the Muslim Ummah in his heart.
In response, Imran Khan thanked Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and said that his services could not be forgotten and that he had played a key role in stopping the Israeli bombing.
Expressing his support for the Palestinian people at all levels, the Prime Minister called for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Occupied Palestinian Territories, including Jerusalem. Palestinians should have the right to self-determination. He said that according to the two-state solution, the 1967 borders and Al-Quds Al-Sharif should be the capital of Palestine.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi was invited by Prime Minister Imran Khan to visit Pakistan. The two leaders agreed to intensify contacts and boost political and economic ties.
