Ehsan Mani likely to get three-year extension as PCB chief

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief and veteran administrator Ehsan Mani is likely to get a three-year extension as the chairman of the board.
According to the details, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has expressed full confidence in Ehsan Mani and decided to retain him as the PCB chairman for another three years. The decision to extend Ehsan Mani was taken after a meeting with the Prime Minister.
Mani’s first three-year term expires in August and he will hold the post for another three years. Chairman PCB Ehsan Mani called on Prime Minister Imran Khan on the July 21, 2021 and discussed domestic and international cricket issues.

Apart from this, steps for the betterment of cricket in the country and promotion of league cricket were also discussed.
It is to be noted that PM Khan has a keen eye on cricket matters and even from his busy schedule he meets the players and officials of the national team and discusses issues related to cricket.

On August 20, 2018, PM Khan nominated Ehsan Mani as the new chairman of the cricket board. Ehsan Mani has represented Pakistan in the International Cricket Council (ICC), as well as being the head and treasurer of the ICC for three years.
