PCB to finalise changes to World T20 squad today

Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Ehsan Mani, has resigned from his post and has offered apologies for not wanting to remain for another term, stating that he isn’t interested in the post anymore.

According to reports, a meeting was held between him and Prime Minister Imran Khan, after which Ehsan Mani broke the news. After being asked who would be the next chairman, he stated that details will be revealed by the Prime Minister’s office.

It is to be noted that PM Imran Khan is also the patron-in-chief of the PCB.

Furthermore, details state that Rameez Raja and Asad Ali have been nominated by the Prime Minister for the PCB Board of Governors.

Ehsan Mani held two meetings with the PM Khan and he was considered a strong candidate to be re-elected as the Chief of the Cricket Board, but he declined and stepped down.

There have been reports that Rameez Raja could be made chairman of PCB, now after Ehsan Mani’s resignation. He, too, met with the Prime Minister, and the likelihood of him taking the post is high.
