Lahore: Inspector General  (IG)of Punjab Police, Inam Ghani has said that on the eve of  Eid-ul-Adha  the Punjab police would perform its duties of serving and protecting the citizens in mosques, imambargahs, streets and highways and the young men of the police would remain steadfast in the face of every trouble and threat including terrorism and this spirit of determination will always keep the morale of the force high.
He expressed these views in a vedio message to the citizens on Tuesday.

He appealed to the people to donate the sacrificial skins only to government-approved institutions and NGOs on a mission to serve humanity so that the money coming from them could not be used for any illegal activity.

He urged the parents not to allow their children to be involved in any illegal activities including one-wheeling, aerial firing during the Eid holidays so that they do not cause any inconvenience to themselves, their families and the society.

In view of the fourth wave of Corona epidemic, IG Punjab urged the citizens to ensure strict ban on SOPs and said that despite vaccination, government directives and ban on SOPs are very important so citizens should celebrate Eid with taking  special care of SOPs to be safe from the Corona epidemic.

He further said that on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, the old enmities and bitterness of hearts should be removed and the message of peace should be spread with an open heart so that  irreparable damage out of these enemities could  be compensated to some extent.
