Faisal Vawda’s lawyer added that objecting to the nomination papers is against the law. Qadir Khan Mandokhel’s appeal should be rejected. The lawyer pleaded that the Election Tribunal had declared Faisal Vawda eligible for the Senate elections.

Qadir Khan filed a petition to disqualify Faisal Vawda. Rasheed A. Rizvi appeared on behalf of Qadir Khan Mandokhel. Rashid A. Rizvi took the position that Faisal Vawda hid the facts about his US citizenship. Therefore, nomination papers of the Federal Minister should be rejected. The Election Tribunal issued notices to the Election Commission and Faisal Vawda seeking a reply yesterday. The election tribunal ordered Faisal Vawda to appear and explain.

The petition filed by Qadir Mando Khel said that objections were filed before the returning officer but he refused to listen. Faisal Wawda should be disqualified for Senate elections. The Provincial Election Commission, Returning Officer and Faisal Wawda have been made parties in the appeal.

PPP lawyers Qadir Khan Mandokhel and Nihal Hashmi, while talking, had said that there was an objection that Faisal Wawda had written that he had given US citizenship in 2018 to Faisal Wawda of Turkey and not to the Senate candidate.
