Electricity prices likely to fall

Lahore, 2nd June: Good news for Pakistani citizens, a decrease in electricity charges expected.

According to reports, electricity prices in the country may reduce in the coming days.

There is a possibility of a reduction in electricity prices as companies have applied for a reduction of 84 paise in terms of fuel adjustment in electricity prices.

According to reports from a private TV channel, 24 News, the hearing of the request of electricity distribution companies for adjustment in fuel prices for April will be held in NEPRA today.
It may be recalled that according to the Central Power Purchasing Agency, the production cost of electricity in April was Rs 5.57 per unit while the reference fuel cost was Rs 6.60 per unit.
