Elton John concludes 'Farewell Yellow Brick Road' tour | Baaghi TV

English singer Elton John is reportedly “done with touring” as he performed the last set of his final tour in Stockholm, Sweden on Saturday.

The British superstar’s “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour which began in September 2018 came to an end on Saturday, after pausing for nearly two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and a hip injury in 2021.

During the performance, Elton John said: “This is a very poignant evening because it’s the last show of the tour”. According to CBS News, the singer has performed 330 shows for his farewell tour. 

In January, last year, the singer told CBS Mornings that he was looking forward to spending time with his family after he retired from touring. At the time, he said that he had been touring since he was 17 and despite having lived the “most incredible life” he really wants to stop touring in 2023.

Elton John said: “I’ve been so lucky, and I’ve loved every single minute of it. But I’ve had enough of that applause”. He had added, “I want to do something different with the rest of my life”.

The “Ain’t Nothing Like the Real Thing” singer’s husband David Furnish honored the move with an Instagram post writing “excited” for the “next chapter together”.

Chris Martin from Coldplay reportedly joined the show via livestream to pay tribute to the “Rocket Man” singer. Wishing the veteran a happy retirement, Martin said, “We’re so grateful for everything you’ve done for us”.
