Lahore, 19th May: The Turkish drama series Ertugrul Ghazi is gaining a lot of popularity in Pakistan. It is said the series has gained more fame in Pakistan than in Turkey.

According to Baaghi TV, the main heroine Halime Sultan, Esra Bilgic has expressed her desire to visit Pakistan soon after the lockdown. Similarly, due to the love and desire of Pakistani fans, Ertugrul Ghazi is forced to visit Pakistan too.

Due to the popularity and love in Pakistan, the main character and hero of the Ertugrul drama serial Ertugrul, Engin Altan expressed his desire to come to Pakistan. He said in one of his messages that, I love Pakistan and I hope to come to you soon to meet you.
“Thank you so much for watching us,” said Engin Altan. He has also expressed interest in coming to Pakistan. Esra Bilgic the female lead has expressed her desire to visit Pakistan soon after seeing her huge fan following.

It is to be noted that Prime Minister Imran Khan also issued a special message on the occasion of the airing of Ertugrul Ghazi on PTV and he termed Turkish drama as close not only to Islamic but also to Pakistani culture and history. Expressing happiness over the airing of ‘Ertugrul Ghazi’ in a special video, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that it was imperative that a drama based on the history of Islamic conquests be aired on PTV so that Pakistan’s new generation could be associated with history.
