Etihad Airways’ Important Announcement on Pakistan Travel Ban
Abu Dhabi: Etihad Airways, national airline of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has announced an extension of travel restrictions amid the coronavirus pandemic.
According to a report in Khaleej Times, Etihad Airways has announced an extension of the ban on flights from Pakistan, India and Bangladesh till July 31, 2021. A user on the social networking site Twitter asked, “Has the flight from Lahore to Toronto via Abu Dhabi been canceled on July 28?”
Etihad Airways informed the customer that the ban on travel from Pakistan is till July 31,2021 and it can be further extended, however, if there is any change through the numbers provided in your reservation link, you will be notified. Information can be obtained from the call center for more information.
‘Fly Baghdad’ now starts flight operations in Pakistan
Earlier, Abu Dhabi headquarters carrier had informed passengers on social media that the suspension of flights from the three countries to the UAE capital would be extended till July 21, 2021. The decision to suspend flights from the countries was taken to control the coronavirus pandemic.

It is to be noted that after Air Arabia, another foreign airline ‘Fly Baghdad’ launched its flight operations in Pakistan. According to sources in Pakistan’s Civil Aviation, ‘Fly Baghdad’ will start its flight operations in Pakistan on July 16. The first flight will take off from the Iraqi city of Najaf and will arrive in Karachi carrying 165 passengers on board.

According to Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the Iraqi airline will operate four flights weekly from Pakistan to Iraq. Then in the second phase, flight operations from Lahore to Najaf will be launched.
