Even after taking U-turn, the accountability court gave a big shock to Asif Zardari

The accountability court in its decision said that Park Lane is the case of NAB. The accountability court Islamabad rejected both the petitions of former president Asif Ali Zardari, removing the reference from Asif Ali Zardari and challenging the jurisdiction of the court. The court fixed Monday as the date for indictment.

Earlier, the Accountability Court in Islamabad heard the Park Lane reference in fake accounts cases. Asif Ali Zardari withdrew his plea to remove the acquittal and reference. NAB dismissed the plea and sought to charge him.

The NAB prosecutor told the court that Asif Zardari could not withdraw the petition after the completion of arguments. The accused is deliberately using delaying tactics.

Asif Zardari’s lawyer Farooq H Naik told the court that the Park Lane reference was not a NAB law but a case of financial law. The accountability court judge remarked that the court would issue an order on Asif Zardari’s acquittal.

A few days ago, former President Asif Ali Zardari filed another petition to remove the Park Lane reference. The petition requested the court to declare the reference against Asif Zardari against the law and dismiss it.
