Explosion at a hotel on Airport Road in Abu Dhabi wreaked havoc

Baaghi TV reports that an explosion has taken place on Airport Road in the Abu Dhabi area of ​​the United Arab Emirates.

Two people were killed and several others were injured in the blast at the hotel. UAE officials say the blast was caused by an exploding cylinder.

The blast occurred in front of a building on Airport Road in Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi police said a gas cylinder exploded, destroying a KFC and Hardy’s restaurant on Rashid Bin Saeed Road.

Police say an operation room received a report of an explosion at a restaurant this morning. Law enforcement agencies rushed to the spot, the victims of the blast have been admitted to Abu Dhabi Hospital for treatment.

 

Police have closed roads in the area while investigating the blast. A video of the scene showed extensive damage to the hotel and surrounding area.

A taxi driver who witnessed the blast said he heard a loud explosion that “shook the whole area”. The witness said, “I was driving in the area when the incident happened. I heard a very loud voice. It was so awful.”
