Explosion in High Court’s transformer, courts plunge into darkness
ISLAMABAD, August 18 (Online): The courts plunged into darkness after the explosion in High Court’s transformer.
According to media reports the hearing of cases was ongoing in High court and various subordinate courts when the explosion occurred in the transformer due to which the courts were overwhelmed by darkness. UPS also stopped working.
The judges, lawyers and clients had to face difficulties due to sizzling hot weather. The judges left the court rooms, whereas the lawyers and their clients also came out of the courts to lawn for fresh air.
However the electricity was restored after half an hour and normal court proceedings began.
