FATF Threatens to Blacklist Pakistan

PARIS (18th Oct, 2019): The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) warns Pakistan against not completing action plan by 2020.

According to details, FATF warned Pakistan on Friday that it will be blacklisted if it fails to control terror funding by February 2020. The FATF plenary stated that Pakistan has addressed only five out of the twenty-seven tasks.

An official privy to the development said, “Pakistan has not made enough progress, FATF is giving a warning if Pakistan does not control terror funding by February 2020, we will consider further actions which potentially include facing the country on a blacklist.”
