National cricket team captain Babar Azam has said that Fawad Alam is in excellent form and is playing great.
Referring to the first day’s play of the second Test match against the West Indies, Azam said that the bowlers were greatly helped by the pitch, at the beginning of the day. Moreover, he said he had told Fawad Alam that a long partnership would be required to get the team out of trouble.
Thereby, both of them decided staying on the crease for a long time to score runs, would be necessary. National cricket team captain, Babar Azam added that our target is to score 300-350 in the first innings. Expressing hope he added that the team will achieve the target on the second day.
He further claimed that he is working hard to improve individual performance in long-format cricket and that he is happy his hard work is ‘bearing fruit’.
“Fawad Alam is in great form. He is playing great. The way Fawad Alam plays in difficult times, we should learn from him. Fawad Alam has cramps while batting. The team doctor and physio are treating him,” he said. Fawad Alam will come to the field for batting tomorrow.
