FBR summons notice to Rahat Fateh Ali Khan

Lahore, 14th January: Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) has summoned details of secret bank accounts of the Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

Baaghi TV: The FBR has directed Rahat Fateh Ali Khan to file a reply by January 15 regarding the alleged secret bank accounts.

In December last year, the FBR started re-auditing the income tax of singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan starting from the year 2014. While FBR has also sought the travel history of the singer.

According to sources, Khan had been filed with a tax of Rs 62,473 from the year 2014. After receiving third party information, the audit of singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was resumed.

Sources in the Federal Board of Revenue said that after receiving third party information, they have sought a reply from singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan on December 7.

However, if he did not submit the reply on time, legal action would be taken against him.

Meanwhile, FBR sources say that the singer has not able to satisfy the FBR after the initial notice given to him in the case of his alleged secret bank accounts. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has been given time to re-submit reply regarding his secret bank accounts.

FBR sources further said that the singer has been directed to submit details by January 15.
