Islamabad, 24th November: The federal cabinet has approved the introduction of castration law for the perpetrators of rape.
Baaghi TV: A meeting of the Federal Cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan during which legislation for prevention of incidents of abuse was discussed and recommendations for severe punishment of offenders were approved in the meeting.
Talking on the occasion, PM Imran Khan said that it was a matter of serious nature and there would be no delay in legislation. He said that legislation would be enacted in a clear and transparent manner for the protection of the people.
In the meeting, some ministers demanded that the death penalty be made a part of the law for the perpetrators of rape and said that the perpetrators of rape should be hanged in public.
Faisal Vawda, Azam Swati and Noorul Haq Qadri also supported the execution, giving his opinion on this occasion, Imran Khan said that initially, we have to go for the law of castration.
PM Imran Khan said that the legal team has completed the work on the draft of rape law ordinance, women policing, fast track cases and protection of witnesses will be the main part.
Affected women or children will be able to register their complaints without fear and danger, protection of the identity of affected women and children will be taken care of. As we have to give a safe environment to society.
