Federal cabinet meeting called tomorrow, economic situation to be reviewed

ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the Federal Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan will be held tomorrow in which the launch of ferry service in Pakistan and the Mass Transit Authority Ordinance will be approved.

According to details, a meeting of the Federal Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan will be held tomorrow, in which the political and economic situation of the country will be reviewed and important economic indicators will be briefed.

A 15-point agenda of the Cabinet meeting has been released. The Cabinet Committee is on the agenda to expand the scope of legislation while the appointment of Mass Transit Authority Ordinance and Chairman Federal Education Board will be approved.

The approval of the establishment of Port Qasim Karachi Pvt. NG Terminal and launch of ferry service in Pakistan is part of the agenda. The NEPRA Annual Report 2018-19 and Industry Report 2019 will be presented.

The Cabinet will ratify the decisions of the Economic Coordination Committee and the decisions of the Cabinet Committee on Energy, while the issue of delegating duties to the Rangers under Article 147 is on the agenda.

The meeting will review encroachments on Margalla Road Islamabad and review public and private constructions and brief on PAPRA rules. The CDA and the Municipal Corporation will consider the division of labor in Islamabad. And the decision of the Cabinet of 2005 to install electricity meters in Islamabad will be reviewed.
