Lahore (October 26, 2020): A female artist was allegedly raped at gunpoint by a police officer in Garden Town area of Lahore, Punjab.
According to the details, a female artist was allegedly raped at gunpoint in Lahore. Police has registered a case against the victim and arrested the accused. The victim took a stand in the FIR that she was called for a function. The accused took her to a hotel and abused her at gunpoint.
Inspector General (IG) Punjab Inam Ghani took notice of the alleged rape of the female artist and demanded a report from the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore, Umar Sheikh. IG Punjab Inam Ghani said that justice would be provided to the victim in any case.

It may be recalled that two accused had recently raped a woman at gunpoint in Toba Tek Singh district of Gojra tehsil of Punjab.

The victim had told the police that she was going to Toba Tek Singh from Sudhar with her husband. The two accused stopped her and tortured her and forcibly took her to the forest.

According to the victim, the accused raped her at gunpoint and fled.
District Police Officer (DPO) Gojra said that a case of the incident has been registered, raids are being carried out in search of the accused, the accused will be arrested soon.
