Female CNN reporter wears abaya in Afghanistan, goes viral

After the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, videos of riots at Kabul airport surfaced, while a video of a CNN female reporter wearing an abaya performing journalistic duties also went viral.

Recently, Taliban spokesman Sohail Shaheen announced that women are safe in the country, they will be allowed to get an education and they will wear hijab.

“Our policy is to work for the protection and education of women,” the Taliban spokesman told the BBC.

Given Afghanistan’s new policy, CNN reporter Clarissa Ward has also seen reporting wearing a headscarf and abaya, photos and videos of which are circulating on social media.

During the reporting, Reporter Clarissa Ward was seen reporting along with several Afghan Taliban on the street of the US Embassy in Kabul.

During the reporting, Clarissa Ward discussed the current situation in Kabul with the Afghan Taliban.

Asked by a female reporter to send a message to the Taliban to the United States, the Taliban said that the United States spent a lot of time with the Taliban, they wasted prime time and a lot of money, so they should leave us.
