Ehsan Elahi, as Director Land, was handling matters related to housing authority land claims and compensation issues. He had been involved in controversial decisions in the past, including compensation to landowners in Sector G-14, which had drawn criticism from locals and complaints to NAB over alleged favoritism.
In reaction to the killing, FGEHA staff, senior officers, and civil servants gathered at the hospital, demanding speedy justice and stronger security protection for public officials. The attack has stirred deep concern across media, political, and civil society circles, with many calling it an assault on institutional integrity.
Authorities say the investigation will examine motives, possible internal disputes, and security lapses. The public expects swift arrests and accountability to deter future attacks on government officials.
