Dr Zafar went to the UK in 2009 where he started the business with Roja. FIA Assistant Director Rizwan Arshad said the investigation revealed that the public had been fooled in a very systematic manner. The FIA also raided Lahore, Karachi, Faisalabad and Islamabad to arrest Dr Zafar. Eventually, they raided a house in a posh area of Rawalpindi and arrested him. Documents, bank account details and other records were seized.
FIA sources say that it is possible that the British government or those agencies in the United Arab Emirates will also seek access to Dr. Zafar because Dr. Zafar has deprived the people of these countries of billions of rupees by fraud while Roja is still in hiding.
