FIA Investigations of Hawala Hundi, Accused Arrested
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in an operation in the Defense area of Karachi has arrested an accused involved in the illegal business of Hawala Hundi.
As per the sources’ reports, the FIA conducted an operation in Defense Phase 2 extension in Karachi and arrested the accused involved in the illegal business of Hawala Hundi during the operation. The Director of the Agency, Amir Farooqi, stated:
“The raid was carried out by the FIA Anti-Corruption Circle and more than PKR 60 million worth of currency was recovered during the operation.”

Mr. Farooqi also said that the exported currency included 250,000 and other foreign currency. The arrested accused is a manager in the Hawala Hundi office.
Last month, the FIA Corporate Crime Circle arrested five suspects involved in the illicit business of the case in progress. They were involved under the guise of licenses.
