Karachi, July 06 (Online Int’l): The Founder and President of Marta Women Football Club (MWFC), Rais Khan has said that the women football players are badly affected because of the coronavirus pandemic while sports activities are also shrinking across the globe and in this situation the announcement of corona relief funds of $1 million for member associations and an additional grant of $0.5 million for Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) is not only appreciated but would definitely pave the way for the improvement of football as well as players. In particular, disappointed sportswomen will feel better and their frustration would be decreased.

Rais further stated that the contribution of FIFA will create an atmosphere for the women’s league hence the PFF should take some practical steps to provide the maximum relief to women players, their grooming and encouragement. Women have a lot of talent in our country but unfortunately because of PFF’s negligence the women’s talent could not come forward and women football and their flair remained backward in Pakistan, he concluded.
