Flights Cancelled, Thousands of Pakistanis Stranded Abroad

International Airlines have cancelled flights due to the third wave of coronavirus.
Thousands of Pakistanis are stranded abroad despite paying high prices. 36000 Pakistanis are waiting to return from Doha to Pakistan despite having tickets. Another 12,000 Pakistanis in Turkey are also waiting to return home.
The government of Pakistan is considering issuing instructions to PIA to repatriate its citizens. According to sources, the PIA administration has decided to increase flights from Doha and Dubai to various cities in Pakistan and to take larger planes.
It should be noted that after the spread of Corona all over the world, including Pakistan, air travel was banned due to which many Pakistanis were stranded abroad and special flights were operated to bring them back home. The air travel ban was re-imposed due to the second and third waves. In order to bring back the Pakistanis stranded abroad, Prime Minister Imran Khan had given important instructions during the lockdown and said that all facilities would be provided. But now the Pakistanis stuck abroad are waiting for PM Khan’s help.
Earlier, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the corona virus is also facing an economic challenge. Pakistanis living abroad always played a good role in difficult times. Government is trying end the problems of Pakistanis stranded abroad.
Thousands of Pakistanis around the world are stranded due to the current situation.
