Flour Mills Association Also Announced Nationwide Strike

Lahore / Karachi: Flour Mills Association has announced a strike. According to reports, fears of flour crisis after petroleum products crisis are on the rise.

After the budget 2021, there is a shortage of flour in different parts of the country.

The Pakistan Flour Mills Association has announced a nationwide token strike from tomorrow. The announcement was made by Asim Raza, chairman of Pakistan Flour Mills Association, while addressing a press conference in Lahore. Asim Raza said that if the demands were not met, they would go on a nationwide strike from June 30.

He said that the talks with the ministers of the association and the Federal Board of Revenue were fruitless. Chairman Pakistan Flour Mills Association said that the owners of flour mills would go on a two-day symbolic strike from tomorrow.
He said that the owners of flour mills were protesting against the tax levied on flour.

Meanwhile, another faction of Pakistan Flour Mills Association from Sindh has announced to close flour mills across the country from June 24 against turnover tax and sales tax. This announcement was made by Chairman Flour Mills Association Chaudhry Muhammad Yousuf. An initial two-day strike will be called by the union.
