Fly Jinnah likely to start flight operations in June

Pakistan’s new low-cost airline Fly Jinnah is expected to launch flights in June initially on domestic routes June with three leased Airbus A320neo aircraft.

Later with expanded aircraft fleet, Fly Jinnah also intends to operate flights between Pakistan and China after getting permission from authorities to start international flight operations.

Under Pakistan’s National Aviation Policy, Pakistani airlines after demonstrating successful completion of one year of regular scheduled domestic flight operations become eligible to start scheduled flights on international routes with a fleet of at least five aircraft.

Lakson Group, one of Pakistan’s leading business conglomerates and Air Arabia Group, the Middle East and North Africa’s first and largest low-cost carrier (LCC) operator, have announced their decision to form a joint venture (JV) to launch Fly Jinnah, Pakistan’s new airline.

The proposed JV will see the establishment of a low-cost passenger airline serving domestic and international routes from Pakistan.
