FM Qureshi contacted Saudi Minister of Information

Lahore, 2nd November: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has contacted the Saudi Minister of Information.

According to the report of Baaghi TV, Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi had a telephone conversation with Saudi Minister of Information and Technology Engineer Abdullah Al-Sawaha.

During the telephone conversation, special discussions were held on the promotion of bilateral digital cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. The two Ministers agreed to make joint efforts to promote Pak-Saudi, bilateral digital cooperation.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi hasn’t been in touch with any Saudi minister for a long time. Earlier, the foreign minister had contacted his Saudi counterpart in which important issues were discussed.

During the talks, the two Foreign Ministers discussed issues of mutual interest, including bilateral relations and the situation in the region.

During the telephone conversation, the Foreign Minister said that the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are of deep and historic nature, the similarities in the positions of the two countries on important regional and global issues are welcomed.

He condemned the attacks on Saudi installations by Houthi rebels, saying “the sanctity of the shrines is part of our faith and we stand with them to protect the integrity of Saudi Arabia.”
