Following Jam Kamal’s resignation, Balochistan all set to elect new CM tomorrow
Oct 28, 2021: The Balochistan Assembly will elect its next Leader of the House in a meeting to be convened tomorrow (October 29), following the resignation from Jam Kamal Aliani as Chief Minister of the province.
Former Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan resigned from his post on Sunday.
According to media reports, nomination papers for the post of Chief Minister will be received today. Balochistan Awami Party leader Abdul Quddoos Bizenjo, who also resigned as Speaker of the Assembly after Kamal’s resignation, has reportedly won the support of PTI Balochistan leader Sardar Yar Mohammad Rind.
The federal government, meanwhile, has said it will support any of the BAP’s nominees for the province’s new chief minister.
