Foreign Office determined to respond to any cross-border attack

Islamabad, 6th August 2020: Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokesperson Ayesha Farooqi said in a Warmedia briefing on Saturday that diplomatic contacts were made with India as per the decision of the Islamabad High Court, but India did not respond to call for a lawyer for Kulbhushan. 

The Foreign Office spokesperson further said that Youm-e-Istehsal was observed yesterday to show solidarity with Kashmiris. India has placed millions of Kashmiris under military siege. The Kashmir issue needs to be resolved in accordance with UN resolutions.

The Foreign Office spokesman further said that rallies and events were organized across the country on Kashmir Exploitation Day. A large rally was held at the Foreign Office under the leadership of Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi.

The President addressed the rally in Islamabad. On Kashmir Day, Prime Minister Imran Khan addressed the Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly.

Rallies were also held in favor of Kashmiris in London, Paris, Brisbane, Brussels, and many other international cities on Kashmir Exploitation Day.

The Foreign Office spokesperson said that the Kashmir issue was discussed in the Security Council for the third time in a year at the request of Pakistan yesterday.

We are grateful to all the members of the Security Council, especially China. Voices were raised in favor of Kashmiris, China called its Jammu and Kashmir issue a historic issue between Pakistan and India, while the OIC also expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri people and the OIC gave Kashmiris their basic Demanded the provision of human rights and basic human freedoms.
