Former Belgian Kickboxing world champion and popular ‘Covid-denier, Fred Sinistra, has reportedly passed away from the Coronavirus.

The 41-year-old kickboxing champion from Liège, popularly known as “The Undertaker” was a several times winner of the Belgian, European, and World Championships. 

Sinistra was reportedly admitted to the hospital at the end of November, due to coronavirus infection. However, he was quickly discharged and sent home. According to a French-language media, Sinistra was a ‘denier’ of the corona pandemic.

Sinistra confirmed the news of his infection in an Instagram post that read: 

“Unfortunately my fight on December 4th is canceled. I’m disgusted but alive thanks to my little wife and my loving uncle Osman Yigin… I will come back even stronger. Already thank you all for your support”.

Although Sinistra’s death was officially announced on the 16th of December, his wife issued a statement on social media to deny that the kickboxer died due to Covid-19. According to reports of Latestnewssouthafrica, “He would never have accepted that what happened to him was used to spread fear and promote vaccination”. She added, “I make it a point of honor and I will fight to the end to restore the truth and clear his name of all that slander, both about his family and about his death”.
