Paris, June 21 (AFP/APP): To mark the country’s annual street music festival, French President Emmanuel Macron organized a socially distanced techno party at the presidential palace.

France has a culture to celebrate music on streets on June 21 every year.

Back In 2018, French President opened cobbled courtyard of the Elysee Palace for the music fans to dance with a gig featuring stars from France’s electro scene.

This year’s Fete de la Musique was celebrated after the government lifted all the restrictions enforced due to Covid pandemic.

Due to covid cases subsiding, the country was to celebrate the music festival in full bloom.

As the corona pandemic is dying down, the country’s musicians played at pop-up events in the French capital.
Those who attended Techno party at presidential palace were asked to observe social distance and remain seated.

In celebration of the music festival, French government has announced the re-opening of nightclubs from July 9.

To enter the club, a new health pass showing they are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 will be needed to ensure safety.

Masks will not be obligatory in clubs, which will only be allowed to operate at 75 percent of their capacity.
