Dec 23, 2021: According to a report by BaaghiTV, firing has taken place at a check post in Peshawar, the provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

A policeman was martyred in a firing incident at a police check post in Peshawar. In Sarband, unidentified gunmen opened fire and fled. After the incident, a heavy contingent of police reached the spot and launched a search operation in the area.

According to police officials, motorcyclists opened fire at a police check post, registered a case and teams have been formed to nab the culprits, with the help of CCTV footage trying to identify the culprits.

According to police officials, Gulfraz Khan Bara was martyred by the firing of the accused at the check post. Saluting the martyr, CCPO Peshawar says that the blood of the martyr will not go in vain, the elements involved in the incident will be exposed as soon as possible. IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has taken notice of the incident of firing at a police check post and has issued orders for immediate arrest of the accused while seeking a report from the officers.

Earlier, the two youths were present for snap checking in the area of Sihala police station in the federal capital Islamabad and tried to stop the two suspects who started firing indiscriminately due to which policemen Zakir and Yasir were seriously injured. Both have undergone surgery and are out of danger. IG Islamabad and other senior officers are present in the hospital while search operation is underway in the area in search of the accused.
