A literal war broke out between Shahid Afridi and former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir, the former national cricket team’s all-rounder.
The two former players in the past have also been involved in events of fierce battles during the matches and now the spat between the superstar players has begun on twitter.
Recently, Afridi spoke on a number of Indian cricketers and took a jibe at India’s former opener Gambhir for his ‘attitude’ during his playing days. Afridi had written in his memoir, Gamechanger, “(Gautam Gambhir) and his attitude problem. He, who has no personality. He, who is barely a character in the great scheme of cricket. He, who has no great records, just a lot of attitude. He, who behaves like he’s a cross between Don Bradman and James Bond.”
Gambhir, who came across this, once again didn’t refrain from holding back and took to his official Twitter handle to slam the veteran Pakistani cricketer.
Someone who doesn’t remember his age how will he remember my records!OK @SAfridiOfficial let me remind u one: 2007 T20 WC final, Ind Vs Pak Gambhir 75 off 54 balls Vs Afridi 0 off 1 ball. Most imp: We won the Cup. And yes, I’ve attitude towards liars, traitors & opportunists.

Gautam tweeted,
“Someone who doesn’t remember his age how will he remember my records!OK @SAfridiOfficial let me remind u one: 2007 T20 WC final, Ind Vs Pak Gambhir 75 off 54 balls Vs Afridi 0 off 1 ball. Most imp: We won the Cup. And yes, I’ve attitude towards liars, traitors & opportunists.”
To that Dennis Does cricket shared his tweet and wrote Gautum is a Knobhead.
The Indians and Pakistani fans also criticise him.
No comparison between You and Great shahid afridi because Afridi is a legend and everybody knows about your attitude and records👇 pic.twitter.com/4w9krpXOVk

One Indian fan wrote:
#1 You are a cricketer for sure but not the one who will be remembered in history, or kids want to follow. Afridi is indeed the one, who will be remembered for his charismatic personality, and the way he played the game. Have wisdom, not hate.
