The Young Journalists Society at Government College University (GCU) Lahore, in collaboration with the Institute of Media and Communication Studies, celebrated World Television Day, organizing a thought-provoking panel discussion on the future of television, the importance of AI in the future, media journalism, and the future landscape of media. Which was specifically to improve the future of media students.

Special guests included anchorpersons Javeria Zaid, Imran Sanaullah and others. Javeria urged students to work hard despite the difficulties in the media. She said that where the media is facing a rapidly changing situation, there are opportunities for hardworking people. She informed about the challenges and responsibilities faced by journalists on the occasion of World Television Day.

A large number of students from Government College Lahore and other universities attended this seminar, which provided an opportunity for young people involved in media journalism to learn from experienced practitioners. Sympathy and views were expressed by various people that freedom of expression should be given priority, while on the other hand, the media was described as the best source of information. Senior journalists emphasized the importance of media journalism.

Faculty members present at this World Television Day seminar included Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Dr. Muniba Fatima, Dr. Ali Bahadur, Ms. Aqdas Waheed, Ms. Gul Bano and Ms. Javeria, whose presence inspired a demoralizing initiative among the students. Government College Lahore is an institution where the support of teachers empowers students to learn.

This day of World Television Day ended with the theme of journalistic harmony among the youth, journalistic principles, the importance of media and the importance of journalism in the future.
