On the special direction of Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan, world class SOPs have been prepared by the Environmental Protection Agency for Gadani Ship breaking Yard.

According to the statement, the Pakistan Ship-breakers Association, while welcoming the permission to run the industry under SOPs, has started the process of procuring unserviceable ships for the Gadani Ship-breaking Industry from the international market.

Mohammad Khan, Technical Engineer, Environment Department, along with his team, has started field work in Gadani.

The revival of Gadani Ship-breaking Industry will not only provide raw material to the steel industry in the country for the production of steel as per the requirements of the country but will also enable the supply of quality surplus for the ongoing development schemes in the country.
