Two more independent members, Mushtaq Hussain and Haji Abdul Hameed, also became part of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf under the leadership of, Pakistan’s Prime Minister and former Cricket Captain, Imran Khan. Independent members met Federal Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Saifullah Niazi and Arshad Dad.

Federal Minister Murad Saeed said that Imran Khan is committed to ending the deprivations of Gilgit-Baltistan. The reason for the deprivation of GB is PPP and PML-N. These two parties gave nothing but frustrations to Gilgit-Baltistan. The people rejected them due to the incompetence of PPP and PML-N.

Earlier, independent candidate Wazir Mohammad Saleem from GBA 9 Skardu 3 and independent candidate Raja Nasir Ali Khan from GGA 10 Skardu 4 joined PTI. Both the elected candidates, as PTI workers, had applied for party tickets. However, the PTI’s parliamentary board ignored both, declaring Haji Fida Nashad, a speaker who left the PML-N to join, as GGA-9 and Wazir Hassan from the PPP as eligible for GBA-10.

Minister Saleem and Raja Nasir Ali Khan decided to contest the elections as independents and defeated the PTI candidates on November 15th, and then joined PTI.

After independent candidates joined the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, the PTI won a two-thirds majority in Gilgit-Baltistan. Thereby, PTI will form a government in Gilgit without any coalition.
