According to a Baaghi TV report, PTI won 9 seats in the ongoing Gilgit-Baltistan polls.

According to the unofficial results of 23 seats, the independent candidate won 7 seats and the PPP won 4 seats. PML-N won 2 seats, PTI’s ally MWM won 1 seat.

Former PML-N and PPP ministers Hafeez-ur-Rehman and Mehdi Shah have also lost the elections. The PTI’s position to form a government in GB has been strengthened. The majority of independent candidates who have succeeded are PTI-backed.

In the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly, there were 330 candidates, including 4 women, for 24 general seats. However, the election has been postponed due to the death of a candidate in one constituency. Citizens were seen queuing up in front of polling stations to exercise their voting right, wearing face masks to protect themselves from the Corona epidemic and maintaining social distance.

GB Elections: A major seat lost by the former CM

From GB-1, PPP’s Amjad Hussain won with 11,178 votes. Independent candidate Maulana Sultan Raees polled 8,356 votes.

From GBA-2 Gilgit, PPP’s Jamil Ahmed won with 8,817 votes. PTI’s Fatehullah came second with 6,607 votes.

From GB4, also PPP’s Amjad Hussain 4,716. While, Islamic Movement of Pakistan’s Muhammad Ayub could get the second position with 4,291 votes.

GB Elections: A great victory for PTI

From GBA 5 Nagar 2, independent candidate Javed Manwa won with 2,570 votes. Rizwan Ali of MWM got 1,850 votes.

Obaidullah Baig of PTI won from GBA-6 Hunza with 5,622 votes. Independent candidate Noor Mohammad came second with 4,584 votes.

From GBA-7 Skardu 1, Raja Zakariya Maqpoon of PTI won with 5,290 votes. While former PPP Chief Minister Syed Mehdi Shah lost. Mehdi Shah could get 4,114 votes.

From GBA 8 Skardu 2, Muhammad Maitham Kazim of Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslimeen won with 7,534 votes. Muhammad Ali Shah of PPP could get 7,146 votes.

From GBA-9 Skardu-3, Independent candidate Mohammad Saleem won with 6,865 votes. Former Speaker PML-N and PTI’s Fida Muhammad Nashad got 5,236 votes.

From GB-10, independent candidate Raja Nasir Ali won with 5,124 votes. Meanwhile, PTI Minister Hassan managed to get 3,684 votes.

From GBA-11 Khurramang, Amjad Zaidi of PTI won with 5,872 votes. Independent candidate Mohsin Rizvi lost with 1,396 votes.

From GBA-12, Raja Azam Khan of PTI won with 9,322 votes. Imran Nadeem of PPP got 7,663 votes.

From GBA 13 Astor 1, PTI’s Khalid Khurshid won with 4,836 votes. Rana Farman of PML-N could get 3,528 votes.

From GBA 14 Astor 2, PTI’s Shamsul Haq won with 5,354 votes. PPP’s Muzaffar Ali Khan got 3,479 votes.

From GB-15, independent candidate Haji Shah Baig won with 2,713 votes. Independent candidate Haji Dilpazir lost with 2,309 votes.

From GB-16 Diamer, PML-N candidate Engineer Muhammad Anwar won with 4,813 votes. Independent candidate Attaullah could get the second position with 4,314 votes.

From GBA-17, PTI candidate Haider Khan won with 5,389 votes. Rehmat Khaliq of JUI came second with 5,162 votes.

From GB-18, PTI’s Haji Gulbar Khan won with 6,793 votes. Independent candidate Malik Kifayat-ur-Rehman lost with 5,968 votes.

From GB-19, independent candidate Nawaz Khan Naji took the seat with 6,208 votes. Haji Jalal Shah of PPP lost with 4,967 votes.

From GBA-20 Ghizr-2, PTI’s Nazir Ahmad won with 5,582 votes. Khan Akbar Khan of PML-Q came second with 3,815 votes.

From GB-21, PML-N’s Ghulam Muhammad won with 4,334 votes. Muhammad Ayub Shah of PPP lost with 3,430 votes.

Independent candidate Mushtaq Hussain won with 6,051 votes from GB-22. Ibrahim Sanai of PTI got 4,945 votes.

Independent candidate Haji Abdul Hameed won from GBA 23 Ganchha II with 3,666 votes. PTI’s Amna Ansari got 3,296 votes.

From GBA-24, PPP’s Muhammad Ismail won with 6,206 votes. Shamsuddin of PTI got 5,361 votes.
