Lahore, 4th May: The federal government has issued a notification to pay salaries and pensions in the month of May to the employees before Eid-ul-Fitr.

According to Baaghi TV, a letter has been sent to the Accountant General of Pakistan for payment of salaries and pensions before Eid.

It is believed that Eid-ul-Fitr is likely to take place on May 25 or 26 2020, while the country is undergoing a lockdown to stop the spread of the coronavirus and economic activities are non-existent, the salaries and pensions are directed to disburse on the 21st of May.

In this regard, the Finance Division has issued a directive to the Accountant General of Pakistan saying that May salaries and pensions of all present government employees and retired employees should be released ahead of time.

This is a very good initiative by the Government of Pakistan, keeping in view the current economic crunch faced by the country amid the pandemic. On the happy occasion of Eid, pensioners and government employees will get relief in the form of their salaries on the 21st of May.
