Google employees will work from home until July 2021

Google, the Internet’s largest search engine, has instructed its employees to work from home by the middle of next year in the wake of the Corona pandemic.

The US agency Google had allowed employees to work from home to protect them from the dangers of the Coronavirus and has now decided to continue the process.

On Monday, Google e-mailed instructions that employees working from home would do the same by July next year.

The prolonged lockdown of Google’s offices could influence other major employers to take similar precautions, given that the technology industry has been at the forefront of the shift to remote work that has been triggered by the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Even before the World Health Organization declared a pandemic on March 11, Google and many other prominent tech firms had been telling their employees to work from home.

Google has 123,000 full-time employees and another 122,000 temporaries, vendor and contract workers, according to worker organizers.
