Rhea Chakraborty admits consuming drugs during NCB probe
Mumbai, 21st September: Bollywood actress and Sushant Singh’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty has admitted of consuming drugs during the probe by National Control Bureau (NCB).
According to reports from the Indian media, as the Narcotics Control Bureau has been investigating the late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s mysterious death, his girlfriend has admitted consuming drugs.
Indian news website Pinkvilla has reported that the late actor’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda and others in the case have been arrested.
So far, it was reported that the ‘Jalebi’ actress had admitted of procurement of drugs during the probe. However, as per the recent update, Rhea had admitted of consuming drugs as well.
According to a report published in Republic World, the actress had cracked on the 55th question after the agency made her realise how serious offence it is to procure and peddle drugs.
As per the reports, the officers told Rhea, “Well, if you didn’t consume, you are a peddler which is a more serious offence.” Apparently, it was this question which made Rhea admit about consuming drugs to NCB.
The actress, also reportedly, admitted that she was asked to deny taking drugs and was made to learn lines about the same by her team. Besides, it also reported that she has also named a few Bollywood A-listers in the case.
Rhea Chakraborty had named Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh and alleged them of taking drugs with her and Sushant.
It should be noted that Rhea is in the judicial custody till September 22 along with her brother Showik and their bail plea was rejected by the special court in the case.
Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanged by his ceiling fan in his Mumbai home on the 14th of June, after which controversies have erupted. His girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and Bollywood bigwigs are suspected in the murder of the actor. Police investigations are still going on and much is left to be unrevealed.
