Gossip Girl Returning to a Screen Near You via HBO Max

E! News confirms revival of Gossip Girl in a post on their official Instagram. 

According to Baaghi TV’s sources, E! News confirmed the revival of popular TV series, Gossip Girl in a recent post on their official Instagram post.

They have confirmed that Gossip Girl will be officially rebooted by HBO Max. According to them, HBO Max is the latest streaming destination from WarnerMedia and will soon “be the home of a Gossip Girl reboot. Based on the report from E! News, so far the reboot is a 10-episode order that will give the audience(s) a glimpse into a new group of Manhattan’s elitist kids. They continued to state that the series is set after an eight year gap following the finale of the original series when the “original Gossip Girl sit went dark”.

The reboot will expectedly introduce a new generation of private school students to the “watchful eye” of the Gossip Girl. The series will serve the purpose of addressing the evolution of social media as well as the change in New York’s landscape itself.

The original creators of the series, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, are set to be executive producers for the reboot with Joshua Safran, as an original executive producer who has been associated with Quantico prior to this as the writer for the revived series.

According to E! News, the idea of a Gossip Girl reboot was brought up by The CW’s Mark Pedowitz who indicated the series may soon be revived. The cast is yet to be confirmed, as to whether any of the original cast will be returning.

Leighton Meester stated,

“No one’s ever talked to me about it except for in interviews and I always say the same: I never say never, so I don’t know. No one’s sent me that information, it’s coming from you”.

Moreover, HBO Max which is set to launch in the spring of 2020 will be home to Friends, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and even Pretty Little Liars including more yet to be disclosed.
