Lahore, 3rd June: The government employees who refuse to get the coronavirus vaccine will not get paid for the month of July.

According to reports, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah directed the finance ministry on Thursday to stop the salaries of government employees from July who refuse to get themselves vaccinated against COVID-19.

Sindh Chief Minister was presiding over a meeting of the provincial task force on COVID-19 on Thursday which was attended by provincial ministers, the chief secretary, law enforcers and medical experts.

Murad Ali Shah said that the government employees who do not get themselves vaccinated will not get their salaries from July.

He took to his Twitter account and made the announcement:

He declared COVID-19 vaccines mandatory for all citizens and instructed the chief secretary to give the month of June to the government employees to get themselves vaccinated against the virus.

He reiterated that we have to secure our public by taking drastic steps.

CM Murad also instructed to establish vaccination centers at the 300 basic health units in the province and set a target of vaccinating 30,000 people.

He also directed that around 90 private hospitals in Sindh should set a target of vaccinating 10,000 people daily.

It is to be noted that on Monday Prime Minister Imran Khan allowed the Sindh government to extend the lockdown restrictions for another week in order to contain the spread of coronavirus in Sindh.
