Government or Opposition? PML-Q likely to decide today!

The main consultative meeting of the ruling coalition party Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q) will be held again in which discussions will be held on staying in the government or joining the opposition.

According to the details, the PML-Q meeting will be held on March 14, 2022 (today) at 4 pm (local time) at the residence of the party president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain. Sources told Baaghi TV that the meeting will decide whether to stay in the government or with the opposition. Moreover, the assurances of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will also be discussed.

Sources also revealed the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) delegation led by Khalid Maqbool will also meet the Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Speaker Punjab Assembly, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, this evening while the ruling coalition party Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) is also scheduled to meet the PML-Q.

The three parties are expected to announce soon whether the ministers will resign from the cabinet or not. On the other hand, PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari is finalizing matters with the coalition parties.

Yesterday, PML-Q leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi while talking to media said that we have made our decision and we are holding final consultation with our colleagues. He said that it was agreed that the present assemblies would complete their term and if the opposition joined the coalition, they will resign from the ministries.

It should be noted that the united opposition has agreed to give PML-Q the chief ministership of Punjab in case of cooperation in the no-confidence motion against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.
