Government Violating Constitutional Articles on Right to Access Information: Raza Rabbani

3rd October 2020, Baaghi TV: Ex-Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani says that the federal government is violating the constitutional articles regarding right to access information and freedom of speech.
He said that the current order of PEMRA is a continuation of this policy of violation and it is condemned. He said that PEMRA does not impose a ban on the speeches of Pervez Musharraf who is a proclaimed offender. He said the double standards of PEMRA are clear.
He said the ban on the reporting of the motorway incident is regrettable. Journalists are being harassed, arrested, and kidnapped, for doing their duty. He said the country is witnessing an increase in media censorship. It is not possible to suppress the truth by placing restrictions on journalism.
He demanded that all restrictions be lifted from the media. He demanded the freedom of speech and right to access information he granted.
