Govt decides to auction precious gifts received by President, PM

Islamabad October 27 (Online): The Federal government has decided to sell precious gifts received by Pakistan’s dignitaries from head of states and other foreign dignitaries, sources said on Tuesday.

A precious wrist watch is among the gifts having been placed on sale in the best interest of the country. The wrist watch price is more than Rs10 million in the international market.

According to the Cabinet Division, the auction process of the gift will start from November 4 next month.

The officers of Pakistan Army and federal government high ups would be allowed to purchase the items of their interest. The division will accept bids until November 23 and bids will be opened on November 25 next month.

The entire process will be completed in the supervision of the cabinet division, the sources said. The gifts were received by President Dr Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Imran Khan and many other former heads of state.
