Mardan, July 08 (Online Int’l): Grand Health Alliance (GHA) Mardan chapter on Wednesday rejected the one-line budget tax pay and contract policy through the Medical Teaching Institutions Reform Act (MTI) and demanded 50 per cent increase is salaries.
In this connection an emergency meeting was held at the district headquarter (DHQ) hospital, a press statement said. An emergency meeting was chaired by Sharafatullah Yousafzai, President GHA Mardan District and All Pakistan Paramedical Staff Federation. President of DHQ Hospital Taj Muhammad, General Secretary Ajmal Khan, President of District Nursing Association Mardan Hakeem Khan, General Secretary Akhtar Munir, Paramedical Association, Mardan Medical Complex (MMC) Senior Vice President Zahir Khan Mohmand, General Secretary Sajjad Khan, Paramedical Association, District PresidentNFazal Qayyum, All Pakistan Clerk Association (APCA) MMC President Inamullah, Provincial Senior Vice President class-IV Alam Zeb, Divisional President class-four Sartaj Miyaar, Naseer Khan and other office bearers attended the meeting.
Addressing the meeting the speakers said that in view of the recent storm of inflation, the salaries of government employees across the country should be increased by at least 50 per cent in the style of the Sindh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir governments.
Speakers demanded that the government should approve monthly basic salary for all health providers from March 2020 on the pattern of the Sindh government due to the corona pandemic.
Speakers at the meeting strongly condemned the hostile attitude of the Federal and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and said that for government employees the coffers are empty and on the contrary, the government treasury is always full for ministers, members of national and provincial assemblies and senators.
