Green Crescent Flag Waved as Pakistan sees First Gyrocopter Flight

Peshawar, 15th August 2020: A personal gyrocopter has flown for the first time in Pakistan. Yesterday during a gyrocopter flight the Pakistani flag was waved in the air.

According to an ARY News report, a personal gyrocopter took to the air and flew the Pakistani flag for the first time in the country on the occasion of the Independence Day, 14th August. It was flown by JUIF leader Arbab Farooq Jan and International Instructor’s License Holder Qazi Ajmal.

This was Pakistan’s first gyrocopter flight in which Qazi Ajmal demonstrated airshow style acrobatics in passionate fashion and received applause from the crowd.

Qazi Ajmal is Pakistan’s only flight instructor who during his six years at Jeddah Flying Club has given gyrocopter training to more than 35 people as well as Saudi Royal Guards. In terms of experience the flying hours in his logbook have crossed 4500 hours.

Arbab Farooq Jan said that flying has started in Peshawar. On the occasion of the Independence Day we wanted to congratulate and surprise the nation. We have made history by flying a gyrocopter in Peshawar for the first time.

He said he has sent more than 18 emails to Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry but he has not contacted us for a meeting as yet.

According to Arbab Farooq Jan the locusts have destroyed crops in Pakistan for which the government is going for acquiring new planes, whereas Qazi Ajmal and his family have offered their services for aerial spray.

It needs to be clear that international gyrocopter flying instructor Qazi Ajmal is the nephew of JUIF leader Arbab Farooq Jan on his sister’s side.
