Karachi: Green Line Metro Bus Minimum Fare is decided as Rs. 15 ranging to a maximum of Rs. 55.
According to reports, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail visited the Green Line Metro bus station on its initial launch and inspected the on-site facilities.
It should be noted that the Green Line bus service has started on 25th December in Karachi and in the first phase the bus service will run from 8 am to 12 noon while working hours as well as the number of buses will be increased from January 10 onwards.
At the beginning of the Green Line bus service, 11 out of 22 stations are operational while before January 10, 25 out of total 80 buses in this service will be run from 8 am to 12 noon. According to SIDCL officials, buses, stations and working hours will be increased after January 10.
The Green Line bus service will run from Sarjani Abdullah Chowk station to Numaish Chowrangi station. These buses will visit each station within 5 seconds while this timespan will be decreased after upgradation of the service.
How much is the bus fare?
Green bus ticket is set as Rs. 55. Those who travel on a daily basis can also avail the option of regular travelling cards.
The Green Line bus will be able to carry more than 150 passengers at a time, while seats are also reserved for the disabled.
The bus service will be monitored by CCTV cameras and the name of the station where the bus will stop will appear on the screen inside the bus.
It may be recalled that while inspecting the Green Line bus in Karachi today, Imran Ismail told the media that the elevators of Green Line are not impaired, bus service will run with all the stations from January 10. The minimum fare is Rs. 15 and maximum Rs. 55 and the green line bus card is confusing people, this card will have to be charged like a mobile phone card.
